Current vacancies: 
1. Does fire alter plant-mycorrhiza feedbacks in heathlands? Competitively funded NERC PhD studentship on fire and plant-mycorrhiza interactions with Thorunn Helgason, Lindsay Banin and me (main supervisor). See details and apply here.

2. Tree species choice in agroforestry systems: do mycorrhizal associations affect soil microbiomes and crop yields? Competitively funded NERC PhD studentship on the potential for agroforestry to influence crop yields via mycorrhizal interactions  with Thorunn Helgason (main supervisor) and me, co-supervised with researchers at the Natural History Museum (Alexa Varah) and Organic Research Centre (Colin Tosh). 3. The good, the bad and the ugly of non-native tree species through space and time. Competitively funded PhD studentship with the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity, looking at the ecosystem services and disservice of non-native trees with Lindsay Stringer and me (main supervisor).
